Love and Death- Poem

Her eyes were black, deep and dark
Her smile left his heart beating with mark
His favorite color was blue
She gave him blue every year because she knew
They were double, a black and white
If he was the width, she would be the height.

She was decent, childish and young
She was witty, always catching him with her tongue
He was a friend, so loyal, so true
But whenever she was with another guy,
He turned from yellow to blue
They were together, from bottles to school
He wanted to say "I love you", but he would be a fool
She was a girl, who loved him just the same
But to confess your best friend, that would be insane
So they lived life together, on and on
Neither did they know, one of them will be gone
Up from kinder, middle, to high
They had countless conversations, never ending with a "bye"
He watched her from the window, from afar, never near
She would speak to him casually, never sweet, because of fear

One day they graduated, off going to different paths
Each never saying anything with hidden wraths
They were angry, at themselves for no words
They saw themselves different, jocks and nerds
So the guy met a girl, and the girl met a guy
They were now both distant, like the ground and sky
They never talked, but the love was there
They just overlooked their feelings of lust and care
Their partners never knew was what going on
They were a picture of love, but rashly drawn

One day the guy was about to get married
He decided to throw away all the feelings he had carried
He stood in his suit, both happy and sad
From this day onward, he would be a delighted lad
He had a beautiful wife, money he could spend
He will be happy, he won't have to pretend
But when he was about to walk out the door
He saw a pair of shoes click against the floor
He looked up and she was there
So beautiful, so lovely, so fair

His heart stopped, and he did not know what to do
He didn't know what he was feeling, he didn't have a clue
"You didn't tell me." She said, so sad but with a smile on her face
"You never asked." He answered, giving her an embrace
"I miss you." She replied, not knowing what to say
"I miss you, every minute, every hour, every day."
He paused and saw the tears in her eyes
"I miss you too, don't be sad otherwise.
You'll be happy, like I will be
One day, you just wait and see."
She shook her head, "But are you happy like you say?
Are you able to go out there and walk down that hallway?"
He nodded at her questions but couldn't say a thing
He knew he still loved her, he wanted her to be the queen-while he the king

But they drew apart when called for by his wife
He moved forward, prepared for a new life
Then the pastor did the same routine
He saw her at the back, looking so young, like a teen
"I do" He said, taking the ring
As he put it on, the chorus starts to sing
They kissed, and he felt that it wasn't right
Will he go on with this, or fight?

But when it was done, he went to look for her
Confused, with mixed feelings, and blur
She was no where to be found
When he was attracted to a sound
It was her mother, who came up to him
Crying, her tears filling to the brim
"She loved you, you know. She wanted to come
She loved you so much, your heartbeat was your drum"
"But where is she, why isn't she here?"
He asked frustratingly, nothing came clear
"She's gone, she wanted me to tell you.
Her fight gave way, and she went through.
She wanted to call you, but she was scared
She wanted to take you away, but the thing was that she cared.
She said you looked happy, with your new wife
She sacrificed her guts, her insides were in strife
When she got cancer, she told me that she wanted you to know
How much she loved you, and wanted you so
She said you were smart, handsome, and cool
She would sit by the doorway just to see you sit at the pool
She would do so many things, but she thought you were happy
So she waited until the day, then sadly
She gave way, she couldn't hold her breath
Now she has a new lover, and that is death."

The guy blinked, it was all surreal
His heart started breaking, it would take time to heal
He knew he loved her, but what could he do?
He was stuck with someone alive, someone new

That night he made love one last time
Little did his wife know, he would commit a horrible crime
At the strike of midnight, he grabbed a gun
By morning, he was dead, no chance to see the sun
In the end, his wife died inside as well
She stored her misery inside, like a bottled shell

Then the misery passed on, from one to another
Mother, father, sister, brother
This is what love can do to you
Colors, red, white, black, and blue

Rock- Poem

It was a rock
Ignored, thrown around
Useless and unknown
Often disregarded
By the grass, the trees
The sun and the moon
But it was a rock
Just a rock
Still a rock

It was rough
Not pretty, or smooth
Or needed by the elements of nature
People would look at it, and turn away
Some would pick it up
And throw it far far away
But it was a rock
Just a rock
Still a rock

Through time,
It travelled the world
It saw things, many couldn't see
The pain of the beggars
On a cold winter
The happiness of street dogs,
Nipping on bread
The thirst of a sparrow
Battling a drought
The hope of a child,
On a Christmas morning
It witnessed
But it was a rock
Just a rock
Still a rock

Through time,
Things changed
Storms raged
Life reveal death
And love ended
With a goodbye

The trees disappeared
The grass wilted
The sun and the moon
Were covered by clouds
But it was a rock
Just a rock
Still a rock

It was stronger
Than the trees
Harder than
The grass
Much more constant
Than the sun and moon

Through time,
It became smaller
Scattered all around the world
Each peice held a memory
But it was a rock
Just a rock
Still a rock

And that rock
Survived through
Everything that passed
It was proud
To be a rock
Just a rock
Still a rock

Just A Heart- Poem

She was a girl
of no brains
No beauty
No talents
Just a heart

She was girl
Of no expectations
No wants
No needs
Just a heart

She was a girl
Of no luxury
No riches
No gold
Just a heart

But she was
A girl whose heart
Was pampered
with emotions

She felt the love of her parents
The true of her friends
The hate of her enemies
The discipline of her teachers

She was
A girl with nothing
Just a heart
